MANCHESTER UNITED 0 CHELSEA 0 (Full time)
Kindly put, you could say it wasn't a classic. More accurately, you'd probably have found more entertainment riding the full length of the Northern Line. In David Moyes' first home game in charge Wayne Rooney was the outstanding player on view but, for all his rambunctious approach work and hard running, he and his team mates never once looked like cutting through a Chelsea team that started the game without a recognised striker on the field and regularly had eight men massed around the edge of their own box. Both sides were reduced to long range shots and weak penalty appeals - Ashley Cole's second half flop in search of a spot kick not one he should be proud to see again. Neither goalkeeper was troubled throughout the 94 minutes. It leaves both sides' unbeaten records intact, and both probably would have accepted a draw beforehand had it been offered. Good news for them then, not so great for the neutral. You'll never get those two hours of your life back.
